Price range: $6.50 through $30.00 excluding_tax
Description
Occurring in eastern Canada, Aronia, also known as Black Chokeberry, is a small shrub (3-6ft) with reddish bark and green leaves that turn a lovely shade of red in the fall. The flowers are white and the fruits that follow are dark purple/black. The fruit is astringent when raw, but has a much better taste when processed or cooked, like in a jelly. It thrives in moist partial shade. As with most darker fruit it is high in antioxidants.
